Resignation

I did it! I quit my job today! It was easy – much easier than I thought it would be. I wasn’t nervous or anything, I just walked right up to the boss and said, “Can I talk to you” and he knew. He got a look on his face like he tasted something sour. That was the last thing weighing on me. There are minor things that need canceling but this was my job – my “career” – and now it’ll be over in 5 weeks.

Yeah 5 weeks. That should be enough time for them to find someone new and hopefully I’ll be able to train them. I don’t know how realistic that is – I’ve seen how it operates here but maybe they’ll get lucky. Just not too lucky – I don’t want to get ousted before my official end date and lose some cash.

Anyway, it’s all over now. Or is it now just beginning? I’m excited and completing this step makes it feel like progress.
